Have you ever been taken advantage of?
I know that you have and if you have not then you are probably one of the lucky people around.
One thing we should know and be aware of the fact that we are responsible for our life and sanity.
We decide whether we should allow people to take advantage of us or not.
Truth be told, if we believe that we can do something, then that stuff will surely manifest itself into our lives.
And on the other side of the coin, if we think we can't, we surely will not.
Here are tips that will help you to stop people from taking advantage of you.
1. Build self confidence.
This is the most important trait that will help us overcome the people who would like to take advantage of us.
One thing we should tell ourselves is that we can accomplish anything that we put our minds to.
When we believe in ourselves and trust our actions, it will be easy for us to stand on our feet and protect ourselves from people who try to take advantage of us.
2.Have a budget and set boundaries.
When you have a limit to the amount of money that you are willing to spend on a particular day or event.
Then it will be difficult for people to take advantage of you.
Have you ever been in a situation where some body is looking at you with funny eyes?
These eyes are sending a message, telling you that they are depending on you for their bills to be paid.
Now you can confidently tell them to fuck off. By saying sorry I don't have money.
3.Say No and mean it.
When a person who has been taking advantage of you countless times asks for a request.
All you have to do is say no and mean it.
Our no should be No and nothing else. This should be said without, better still with a smile.
For example if you have been invited for a wedding, you can tell that person you enjoy attending weddings but unfortunately you will not.
Do this with a smile, this person will understand.
