We are all struggling to achieve our goals.
That is a fact. But sometimes our confidence and certainty are disconnected from what is accurate.
How do you know that you cannot do something?
How do you know that you have failed at something.
If you find out that your friend is earning $50,000 per week, has recorded hit songs and is also a novelist, having written several books.
Are you right to come out and claim that you have failed at making $50,000? Cannot sing or can write.
Concluding prematurely that you cannot make $50,0000 per week, sing or write is what I would call an imaginary failure.
Truth betold, before you declare yourself a failure, how much effort have you put in trying to achieve those goals?
If you have had the dream of earning $50,000 per week.
How much effort have you put in trying to earn that amount of money?
How many things have you tried to do that you thought could earn you that money and all ended up in failure?
How many attempts have you made?
In order to come to terms with failing, we have to face real failure. Not once or twice but several times.
Even then we have to think about other things that we could do to achieve this goal.
You need to see real failed attempts. If there are no real failed attempts, then you are sabotaging yourself.
In fact you are blocking reality from making you succeed at achieving your goals.
Do not block reality from making you succeed, allow reality to work for you.
Make sure that the failures you see are real failures.
If you want to quit your job and start your own business, harsh criticism from your parents is not real failure.
Have you created a product and tried to sell to people and they refused to buy?
If so, how many rejections have you got?
If you want to write a book, not having a laptop is not real failure.
Without a laptop, if you are serious about writing, pick up a pen and start writing on a piece of paper.
Let the publishers reject your manuscript.
Sometimes, we sabotage ourselves, yet reality could give you the desires of your heart.
Take massive action towards your ideas.
Do not give in to failure prematurely. The only way you will know if you can succeed is to take action.
If you want to write a book, take action by starting to write and submit the manuscript to publishers.
Let them reject it, face many rejections.
Therefore, the only way we can overcome imaginary failures is by taking action, action and also more action. Good luck.
