Every year many people around the world set goals which are commonly known as the new year resolutions.
Me inclusive, I used to do the same. I would wait at the beginning of each and every year to set the goals that I would like to accomplish that year.
But not any more, I realized that it is very difficult to get through with these goals and accomplish them since the time frame of a year will actually look long.
I would always get discouraged and end up giving up on my goals.
So if setting goals and achieving these goals is very important to all of us, then what can we do to ensure that we do make progress in our lives?
Today I will share with you something that I learnt from a blogger called Stevepavlina.
He talks about a 30 day experience that you can use to improve your life.Why 30 days?
Well doing something for only 30 days will give you a psychological boost.
Since your brain will know that practicing this habit for only 30 days will be something easy to accomplish.
For many people out there who want to change their bad habits and adopt good habits, it is very hard for them to stay on track for the rest of their life maintaining those habits.
On the other hand, if they were to use the 30 day technique of practicing the habit that they want to adopt in their lives then it would be easy for them to at least incorporate this habit into their lives for 30 days.
And before they know it, they can keep doing it or just drop the habit if they want.
For example, if you want to become an early riser, you can just start by waking up at 5.00 am everyday for the next 30 days.
If you want to lose weight, you can decide to do exercise just for 30 days and see what happens.
If you want to improve your finances, you can just start a small business and run it for 30 days and see what happens.
Whatever habit you want to adopt, just do a trial for 30days and see what happens. Good luck.
