Popular Nigerian singer D' Banj who was accused of raping a woman can now have some breathing space after the case has ended.
According to reports, the woman who had accused the singer of rape has finally been released from prison.
The woman who is called Seyitan Babatayo was arrested on Tuesday in the June 16th in the morning for falsely acccusing the singer of rape.
This came after D'Banj's lawyers served the woman in question with a notice where they asked her to pay the singer a sum of 100 million Naira within 48 hours for falsely accusing him of the rape allegations or else they would face legal action.
The Nigerian singer also demanded the woman should retract her statement and also apologize to him and publish her statement in atleast four national dailies.
A Journalist from BBC later confirmed on Twitter that the woman had actually been released. Check out the posts here.
