Elon Reeve Musk is a South African and American citizen who is an Entrepreneur, Industrial designer and also an Engineer who is popularly known for being the founder of Space X, Tesla, Hyperloop, Neuralink and the Boring company.
Elon Musk was born on the 28th of June in the year 1971 in a place called Pretoria located in Transvaal which is found in South Africa. After his parents divorced, Elon Musk lived with his father in Pretoria most of the time after he made the decision to live with him and he later regretted this decision.
While just at a tender age of 10, he developed a strong interest in computers and later he was able to teach himself computer programming and at the age of 12 he was able to sell a code of Basic based video game that he had created to PC Technology Magazine for $500.
Elon Musk attended the University of Pretoria for a short period of time before he moved to Canada where he joined Queen's University while at the age of Seventeen.
After two years at Queen's University, Elon Musk transferred to the University of Pennyslyvannia where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Economics from Wharton School and also a Bachelors degree in Physics from the College of Arts and Sciences.
After completing his degrees, Elon Musk enrolled for a PhD. programme in applied physics and materials sciences in the year 1995 at Stanford University but later decided to drop out just after two days to pursue a business career.
After dropping out of University, Elon Musk and his brother Kimbal, started a web software company which is called Zip2 and it was later acquired by Compaq for about $340 million in the year 1999.
Elon Musk later launched another company called X.com which was an online bank which later merged with another company called Confinity to become PayPal in the year 2000.
PayPal was later bought by the e-commerce platform ebay for $1.5 billion in the month of October in the year 2002.
In the year 2002, in the month of May, Elon Musk started a company called Space X which is basically an aerospace manufacturer and also a space transportation service company where he is currently the CEO and also the lead designer at the company.
In the year 2004, Elon Musk founded another company called Tesla Motors which is an electric vehicle manufacturer and later became it's chief execute and also the product architect of the company.
In the year 2006, Elon Musk provided the inspiration for the creation of a company called Solarcity which is a company that provides solar energy services and the company has now become a subsidiary of Tesla Motors Inc.
In the month of July in the year 2016, Elon Musk started another company called Neuralink which is a neuraltechnology company that helps in the development of brain-computer interfaces.
In the year 2016 in the month of December, Musk founded another company called The Boring company which basically is an infrastructure and also a tunnel construction company that is purely focused on building tunnels that designed and solely optimized for electric vehicles.
