Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has decided to fire the commissoner General of Uganda Revenue Authority who is called Doris Akol and has replaced her with a new person called Musinguzi Rujoki. According to President Yoweri Museveni, the new appointment takes effect immediately.
The new person Mr. Musinguzi was the board chairperson of NITA Uganda and has also worked as the presidential advisor for Information and Communications Technology. He has a Masters degree in Information Systems from Greenwich University.
Ms Doris Akol appreciated the appointment and advised URA officials to cooperate and also work with him. It is believed that the shortfalls in revenues have forced the president to take the decision.
