If you enjoy eating some good chicken then this delicious food recipe is just for you. There are some flavours out there that are added to this dish which are simple but will actually make you enjoy this dish to the maximum.
When you include steamed rice or chapati into this recipe, you just mind end up biting your tongue.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons of oil
- A large chopped onion
- A tablespoon of chopped ginger
- A tablespoon of turmeric powder
-2 cups of chopped tomatoes
-Salt for the taste
- Chicken that has been cut into pieces
- Half a cup of plain yogurt
- Chopped coriander leaves
- Steamed aromatic rice for serving
Method
1. In a heavy bottomed pan, heat the oil and the add the onions before stiring it for about a minute or until it has turned translucent.
2. Add garlic, ginger and green chillies and allow it to cook for about 45 seconds.
3. Add the turmeric powder, coriander-cumin powder and chilli powder and then stir it properly.
4. Pour the tomato paste, tomatoes and salt into it and then allow it to cook for about 20 minutes or until the oil has started to ooze out of the tomatoes.
5. Add the chicken and then allow it to cook for about 20 to 25 minutes. Stir up the chicken in the yoghurt and then allow it to cook for about 2 to 3 minutes.
6. Spread the coriander leaves onto it and then serve it with steamed aromatic rice.
