Today i would like to take a look at some of the most popular events that Ugandans love to attend apart from the concerts that are being hosted by the top music artists in Uganda.
Here are the annual events that are most popular among Ugandans that are fully attended each and everyday.
1. Purple Party
This has become one of the top annual events attended by Ugandans. The event that is hosted by one of the top television and radio presenters in Uganda called Douglas Lwanga takes place each and every year in all the major parts of the country.
During the show Douglas Lwanga invites all the top music artists in the country to perform at the show and entertain his fans. It has now become one of the top events attended by Ugandans every year.
2. Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards
The fashion industry in Uganda is growing very fast and many Ugandans are taking up fashion as a career.
One of the top fashion enthusiasts in Uganda is called Ahumuza Brian who is popularloy known as Abryanz,the brain behind the popular Abryanz style and fashion awards that takes place each and every year.
During the show, he invites top fashion designers from across Africa and even other parts of the world to come and attend the show and also show case their designs.
This has become one of the top fashion events in the Ugandan fashion calender.
3. Nyege Nyege Festival
This popular festival which is held each and every year normally takes place along the banks of the source of the Nile in the Ugandan district of Jinja and it is heavily attended by both Ugandans and some other foreigners.
The festival i can say is the Ugandan version of the popular Coachella festival that normally takes place in the United States and graced by popular music artists like Beyonce and others.
For the case of Nyege Nyege festival, there is alot of music at the event performed by different artists and also lots of food available at the event.
The show has now literally become an international show attended by people from all over Africa and even some Europeans and Americans enjoy the party.
4. Roast and Ryhm
This is another popular annual event that is organised by one of the biggest record labels in Uganda called Swangz Avenue.
This event involves lots of food and also top music artists in Uganda perform at the show and it is one of the top events that Ugandans mostly look up to each and every year.
5. Rolex Festival
This festival that is massively attended each and every year show cases the rolex staple food that is enjoyed by Ugandans all over the country and it involves making rolexes of different types.
Many Ugandans attend this event to enjoy the delicious different types of rolexes available.
6. Blankets and Wines
The idea for this event originated from Kenya but now it has taken the Ugandan fans by storm. The event is hosted each and every year and it is fully attended by Ugandans.
Here there is lots of music from top music artists and also lots of foods and drinks that people do enjoy.
It also has some aspect of fashion in it that is attended massively for that reason especially for the fashion lovers.
