Anita Beryl is a Ugandan fashion designer , entrepreneur and also a coutorier who is the creative director of a Ugandan fashion house called Beryl Qouture.
Anita Beryl was born on the 20th of January in the year 1986 in the Western region of Uganda in a district called Bushenyi district.
Anita Beryl is the first-born of her family where there were six children who were born to her parents Reverand Ahabwe and Mrs. Ahabwe who lived in Bushenyi district.
Anita Beryl obtained her ordinary level of education and Advanced level of education in a school called Bweranyangyi Girls School where she completed her secondary school education in the year 2005.
After completing her secondary school education, Anita Beryl joined Uganda Christian University found in Mukono district where she was studying a Bachelors of Arts in Education and she successfully graduated in the year 2009.
After obtaining her degree, Anita Beryl travelled to South Africa in the city of Johannesburg where she got her first training in fashion at a school called Uber Glam and later she went to French fashion University which is called ESMOD.
In the year 2011, Anita Beryl decided to start the Beryl Qouture by Anita Beryl which was designed as a Haute Qouture which was a type of clothing designed ready to be weared including all the accessories for all types of gender.
Anita Beryl's label was later invited to participate in local, international and even regional fashion shows and some of these fashion shows are Swahili fashion week that was held in Tanzania and also the Accra Fashion week that was organised in Ghana and all these events took place in the year 2016.
Anita Beryl was later in the year 2017 invited to showcase her designs and labels at the World Fashion Week 2017 that took place in Kualampur which is found in Malaysia.
Anita Beryl's client base has been expanding and some of her clients are based in countries like Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, United Kingdom, South Africa and many other countries out there.
Anita Beryl has been able to showcase her designs in various fashion shows held in Adisababa, Nigeria, Barcelona and also Mombasa. As a result of her success as a fashion designer, Anita Beryl has received awards like Outstanding Fashion Designer Chamber of Young Entreprenuers, Fashion ward category for Young Achievers Awards, Fashion designer of the year for the Abryanz style and Fashion awards. Anita Beryl was also featured on CNN's African Voices.
Anita Beryl is an inspiration to all the youths in Uganda and Africa as a whole most especially the girls out there who would like to join the fashion industry that their dreams are valid and they can achieve anything they put their minds to, it is just a matter of hardwork, dedication, being persistent and putting God first.

ReplyDeleteI never knew wat i wanted to be coz i felt like everyone want to be the same thing like a doctor, lawyer, teacher but i wanted to be someone something that I'd do and feel happy doing it something that could help people in a good way, Am just 15yrs is it still wrong that I don't know wat I'd like to be!? I never thought of being a fashion designer until yesterday evening I want to become a Taylor and a fashion designer and be self employed i know its not easy but Anita's story is so inspirational.
