Maddox Sematimba who is popularly known as Maddox is a Ugandan music artist, singer, instrumentalist and songwriter who is popularly known for his genre of music which is called Raggae music and he could be refered to us Uganda's Lucky Dube of sort due to the kind of music that he does concentrate his efforts on.
He can also be referred to as one of Uganda's top music legends of our time since his vocal skills and abilities cannot match that of any other music artist in the current state of Uganda's music industry right now.
He was born in Kampala which is the capital city of his home country Uganda found in East Africa. Maddox Sematimba went to Makonzi Boarding primary school for his primary school education and that is where he was able to complete his primary school education.
After completing his primary school education, Maddox Sematimba joined Busoga College Mwiri for his secondary school education which is found in the Central region of Uganda.
After completing his secondary school education, he started teaching in a primary school that was being funded by a Non-Governmental Organisation which is called Feed the Children. The primary school was called Christian Life children's home.
In the year 1991, Maddox Sematimba decided to leave his native country Uganda and then relocated to Sweden to look for greener pastures.
While in Sweden, Maddox Sematimba continued to release songs and perform in various places around Europe. Maddox Sematimba lived in Sweden for a long period of time but his music did not die in any way.
One of his most popular songs called Namagembe has topped very many music charts around the country and has up to today become one of the most liked raggae songs in Uganda.
His vocal genius and lyrical content are very educative and the love ballads are on point. This makes his music timeless and enjoyable.
He recently released an album called Abato which is headlined by the song tittled as the album that talks about caring for children out there.
Some of the songs that Maddox Sematimba has worked on are Namagembe is which a crowd favourite, Nakatudde, Tukolagane, Abato and many others out there.
In April, 2019, Maddox Sematimba along side other Ugandan music legends like Willy Mukabya, Angella Kalule, Betty Mpologoma thrilled very many Ugandans when they held a music concert which was dubbed "Tugende Mu Kikadde" and the show was massively attended by Uganda's music fans at Serena Hotel which was filled to capacity.
Maddox Sematimba has contributed alot to the Ugandan music industry and continues to lift Uganda's flag high in the entertainment industry.
He is a great inspiration to very many people out there especially aspiring music artists, youths and girls alike.
