Portia Clark is a Zambian singer, songwriter and also philanthropist who is popular for doing gospel music that touches the souls of different people around the country. Portia was born in the year 1990 in the capital city of Zambia which is called Lusaka.
Portia's father died when she was just having a tender age of one year as a result of participating in the anti-apartheid movement that took place in South Africa.
Portia was introduced to the world of music while she was just eight years old and attending a church called Temple of Power Church which is found in aplace called Livingstone in Zambia.
At the age of 11, Portia changed her place of worship and started attending the vessels of praise at Capito Christian Worship centre that is found in Zambia's capital city called Lusaka.Portia Clark kicked off her music career back in the year 2014.
In the year 2014, Portia released her first single which she called Hope, she wrote this song alongside Zambian gospel music artist who is called Mutamule Mwale.
This song became a very big hit and since then it has been used in raising funds in different charitable events that were organised and therefore it has helped in raising millions of dollars.
The song was also performed at one of the largest fundraising events organised in the United States of America called the Starkey Hearing Foundation annual Gala that was held in Minneapolis on the 26th of July in the year 2015 where Portia was able to perform the song infront of a large crowd while accompanied by a live Orchestra that was led by Paul Patterson.
She performed in the presence of two former Presidents of the United States of America who were President George Bush and President Bill Clinton and she was on the same stage with Katy Perry.
In september 2015, Portia Clark recorded her first album in Austaralia , United States and also Zambia and the album featured the eldest son of Dr. Dre who is called Curtis young.
Portia was nominated was nominated as best Zambian representative at the born and bred video awards as aresult of her efforts in music.
Portia Clark has been appointed as the Zambian amabassador for Health Hope Zambia which is an organisation that is working to reduce the mortality rate at Zambia's largestmalnutrition facility.
She is one of the most inspirational female music artists in Zambia and around Africa that many youths look up to especially the young girls out there who would love to join the music industry.
