The Ugandan government has revealed that it will very soon be deporting back some
thousands of Rwandese citizens who are living in Uganda as refugees.
According
to the Ugandan government it will be cancelling the refugee status of most of
the Rwandese people who are living as refugees in the country.
This announcement
was made by the Minister of relief and
disaster preparedness and refugees Hillary Onek during the East African
legislative Council meeting in Kampala.
The government will be issuing
temporary permits to the Refugees after cancelling their refugee status. Many Rwandese
fled the genocide of 1994 into uganda.
