Most times we fail to achieve our dreams and goals simply because we are afraid and cannot even develop the courage to move towards our goals confidently.

Fear will stop us from dating the people that we are interested in, fear will stop us from getting the jobs that we deserve and fear will even stop you from making the right decisions for your life. 

Many people are stuck in jobs that they do not like simply because they fear that they will fail to pay their bills and might even end up homeless.

  Today, I will give you some tips on how you can be able to overcome your fear and also achieve the most important goals of your life.

1. Forget the mental lies that are hovering over your head

Sometimes when we do want to pursue new things, we end up having all these thoughts on our minds about how we are not good enough to achieve something in our life.

 These thoughts will always slow down our progress in life and they will stop us from taking any actions that would ultimately change our lives for the better.

If you are going to achieve your goals and dreams, you will have to ignore the thoughts that keep coming to your mind every time you try to start something new.

2. You should avoid over thinking

Sometimes you may find yourself thinking about ideas that you would like to pursue for a long period of time to the extent that you end up overwhelmed and feel like you cannot even take the first step to kick start your project. 

Over thinking will make you focus more on the possible outcomes that you will get when you do pursue your project and this process sometimes will delay any action that you would like to take so that you can achieve your goals. 

Over thinking can also slow down your decision making process and hence you will not take any actions quickly on your goals. 

When you find yourself over thinking, it is time for you to find a way of clearing up your mind before you can proceed with your project. 

You can clear up your mind by changing the environment for some time and you can also talk to someone who can give you a clear insight about the project that you do want to work on.

 This will help you to make decisions very fast so that your project can progress very quickly.

3. Avoid any emotions and instead focus on the tasks

When we act based on our emotions, we will most likely make mistakes along the way and which mistakes we may even regret in the long run. 

If you are going to be successful, you will need to stop acting based on your emotions and instead focus on the tasks that you are supposed to execute. 

If you are very mindful of yourself, you will be able to avoid problems that are associated with doing things based on emotions other than pure logic.

4. Try to think about the opposite side of your fears

Sometimes we only look at our fears and end up making decisions that we may regret in the long run. But what if you looked at the opposite side of your fear? 

If you looked at the good side of your fear, just imagine what you are fearing does not actually come to pass and instead the good part of your fear happens, what outcome will you have and how will you react to that situation. 

The first thing that you can do to face your fear is to identify what you are actually fearing and also try to find out what you can actually do so that you can be able to overcome that thing that you are fearing. 

Now you need to take action and also believe and trust that everything will turn out good with time. You should ensure that you do focus on positive outcomes.

 You should ask yourself the question what if what you are doing turns out well? This will prepare your mind for the success that you desire out of your project.

5. Ensure that you do what you fear most first

One thing that will help you overcome your fears is doing that which you do fear most.

  If you can do what you fear most, then you will have nothing to fear and you will be able to gain enough confidence to chase the most important goals in your life without fearing any obstacles that will come your way. 

The experience of facing your fears will give you the confidence to move on and you will realise that it actually was not as bad as you thought it would be. 

So you should just dive in and start doing that which your mind tells you might not work out.

6. You should surround yourself with people who take massive action

It has been said that you become one of the people that you spend most of your time with. If you are going to be successful in life, you will need to select the right kind of people that you spend your time with. 

If you spend time with people who are always taking action and moving forward towards their goals, these people will also inspire you to start working on your goals. 

Surrounding yourself with visionaries and action takers, people who empower you to chase your goals and act on your dreams will push you towards your success in life. 

These people will have a great impact on your life than those who are comfortable in life and are not interested in growth. 

So you should make sure you are in the company of doers, visionaries and people who are keen on improving their lives.

7.  You should develop your imagination


Imagination is very important in the life of a human being. If human beings develop their imagination, they can be able to create their future. 

If you utilise the power of thought properly, you can be able to create the life that you desire. 

You should always remember that our actions are a result of our thoughts and so if you develop the right thoughts, you will be able have the right actions that will take you to your desired success.
