MPS WHO VOTED AGAINST THE AGELIMIT REMOVAL WOULD LIKE TO MEET PRESIDENT MUSEVENI ACCORDING TO RUTH NANKABIRWA
According to the government chief whip , Ruth Nankabirwa, the members of
parliament who had voted against the removal of the presidential agelimt last
year have decided to meet President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and offer an apology
for the wrong decision that they wanted to make.
Ruth Nankabirwa claims that
these Members of Parliament are willing to meet president Yoweri Kaguta
Museveni so that they can personally apologise to him. Nankabirwa made the
statements while she was meeting the Uganda Parliamentary Press Association on Wednesday
in the morning.
The number of NRM members of parliament who voted against the
removal of the agelimit stands at 27 but these members of parliament have
denied the allegations made by the chief whip.
