Allen Catherine Kagina is a Ugandan public administrator and a lecturer
who is currently the executive director of Uganda National Roads Authority
after she was appointed the President of the republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
Allen Kagina was born in 1961 in Rukungiri district which is found in the
Western part of Uganda.
Allen Kagina attended Gayaza High School for her
secondary school level of education and from there she joined Makerere
University where she pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and
later joined the University of Liverpool found in the United Kingdom where she
obtained a Masters degree in Public Administration.
In 1985, Allen Kagina
started working as a teaching assistant at Makerere University and then she
joined the office of the president. In 1992, she joined Uganda Revenue
Authority as a senior principal revenue officer where she served in that post
until the year 1998.
In 2000, she became the deputy commissioner for customs at
Uganda Revenue Authority where she worked in that position until 2001.
In 2004
she became the assistant Commissioner General for Uganda Revenue Authority and
has helped in improving the financial performance of Uganda Revenue Authority.
In 2006 she got a corporate Leadership award for her excellent service in the
public sector. Her contract was renewed for three more years by President
Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Allen Kagina is married to Paul Kagina and they have
three children who are Dan, Mark and Michelle.
