Popular mobile social networking site WhatsApp has changed the age rules
concerning the use of its platform.
The company which is owned by Facebook has
come to change the required age for using its services from 13 years to 16 years.
This new rule will mean that anybody under the age of 16 will not be able to
use whatsapp’s services like chat and video sharing.
This rule will apply to
European users. The company had about 1.5 billion users according to Facebook
which is it’s parent company in January 2018.
WhatsApp has been under fire from
regulators in Europe as a result of it’s tendency of encrypted end to end messaging platform
