Retail giant Amazon has raised the subscription prices for it’s primetime
service from $99 to $119 per year and this will only apply to it’s customers
who reside in the United States.
This is the first time the technology company
has raised it’s primetime subscription prices since the year 2014 when it
raised the prices to $99 per year.
According to reports, the new prices will be
effected next month for new subscribers and then in June for the already
existing subscribers of the service.
According to Jeff Bezos the chief executive of the company, the service has
about 100 million subscribers and an estimate found that 60 million households
are all prime. Amazon continues to include benefits for it’s users to keep them
glued to their products.
