The District
Police Commander for Buyende district has quit the police force over
allegations raging from corruption, torture and many others.
Muhammad Kirumira
first stepped down as the District Police Commander (DPC) before quitting the
police force for good.
Kirumira has been facing charges including corruption,
torture, and unnecessary exercise of authority according to the Police tribunal
and will appear in court on Thursday for the court hearings to begin.
The police
officer has announced that he is stepping down as DPC and leaving the police force
as the investigations begin. He announced this on Social media.
